Power cat kitten wet food

Power cat kitten wet food

I bought a kitten about 8 weeks ago. I'm feeding her Purina kitten dry. She's very small and very energetic. I think she eats about 3 cups a day and I'm only feeding her about a cup a day. I'm afrd she's underweight. I don't think she's eating enough to grow and have all her teeth. She's about 11 lbs. right now. Do you think I should up the amount I'm feeding her? I don't want to get her so skinny that she's sick. I'm feeding her in the morning and at night.

I agree with the other ladies that she should be getting a little more. I would suggest 3-4 cups a day, and she should be getting a little more every couple of days. The amount you are feeding now is perfect for her needs. As she gets bigger, you will need to add a little more. She won't be growing like a baby, but she will grow a little each day and need a little more.

I just took my kitten to the vet and they did a body weight and it was 14 lbs 1/2. So, I am wondering if she is healthy and if I should just up the amount I am feeding her.

I am not a vet, and this is not a medical question, but I am an experienced cat owner with my cats at least since I was 18. Here are a few things you could be doing wrong. First of all, the kitten should not be eating this amount of food - even in her tiny size. That is too much. You should be feeding her 2.5 - 3 times what she is eating right now, and it should be 4 cups or a little less than a cup at a time - at every feeding. A cup of food should be divided into 5 smaller portions, and it should be fed 3 times per day. If she is eating too much, then this will slow her growth. It's not too skinny for a kitten. The best thing to do is stop feeding it the Purina kitten dry - it is not food for kittens. It is a food for the adult cats.

You could be feeding too much, or you could be feeding her too little. You really should feed her 3 times a day. This is because she is growing and needs to grow her teeth, she needs to drink more water, and she needs to eat more.

The vet sd it would be fine for her to go as long as she isn't underweight. I don't think she's that tiny though. She's eating 3 cups of food a day and is about 11 pounds. I'm afrd she's underweight. I don't think she's eating enough to grow and have all her teeth. I'm afrd I'm overfeeding her.

You shouldn't be afrd of overfeeding her. You are feeding her a little more than she needs right now, because she is growing. A good rule is to feed what she is eating right now at 3 times a day - morning, noon, and night. If she isn't growing, she isn't eating enough. The amount you are feeding her is perfect for her needs. As she gets bigger, you will need to add a little more.

If she is healthy and not underweight, there is nothing wrong with overfeeding her. She can eat that much. It may even be a little more. She just can't eat that much all at once. So, give her small meals of Purina kitten dry - a few times a day.

I agree with what the vet sd. You should be feeding her at 3 times a day, and she will be fine.

When she is full, she should be sitting. If she is standing up, then she is too much fed. You should be putting her on a food bowl at night when she eats - not a cup or a bit more. That is why I sd the amount you are giving her is perfect.

If you really think she needs more, then feed her a little more. But, if she seems to be healthy, then don't overfeed her.

If you think she is underweight, I agree with the others. But, even if she isn't underweight, I agree with the vet. Feed her only as much as she needs - no more. If she is eating 3 cups, then give her only 3 cups at a time. I usually feed mine 1.5 cups a day, or maybe even 2 cups a day. You will not overfeed her.
